Is Free Web Hosting Good?

Sunday, May 30, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Most bloggers or online writers would assume that a free hosting is a great thing for them, simply because it's free. The free hosting even becomes an oppurtinity for those who likely to practise their writing. Many new writers of books such as Indonesian writers begin their writing from free  web hosting such as Blogspot and wordpress. Even some people use free hosting for doing their online business. So what reason for us to pay a web hosting for our website if there a free hosting provides great features, particulary if we can make money from that?

Every free web hosting must have surplus or blindspot in each of their features. I did a short survey about free hosting before I begin to discuss about this, and I found out quite surprising on my surfing at web hosting reviews website about free hosting comparisons, which was written by a web master: The fact that Blogspot has great features, they apparently  does not have a password protection! I'm uncertain about the relation to free hosting on blogspot to a password protection as I'm not an expert on this field; however, I'm more interested to read it as recently many unpleasant incidents on blogger atmospheres as to some blogs have been issued hacked. We certainly know speaking about hacking must be related to password cracking, and nothing more make us worry except about the safety of our sites.

I myself has changed the domain of JengSRI.Com since the past of nearly two years. I began  to upgrade with no knowledge at all, even no idea why do I need to own a domain as at the very beginning I didn't rawness at all about making money while blogging, but then after quite a while I see another advantage from blogging. I got great incomes of blogging while learning about website. However, I might need a web hosting for the sake of my site, and especially for its security.

Indonesian Women's Phenomena: To Be Or Not To Be

Monday, May 24, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

My flight was going to transit in Abu Dhabi, a place where the grievous panorama of Indonesian workers normally seen by other Indonesian; note: only for Indonesian, not for expatriats, whom according to Indonesian workers their main purpose to work abroad is because wanting to get a better life --- a general reason that most of us usually heard if someone asks you: "Why do you work?", or "Why are you away from your family?" --- Does anyone able to give an exact answer apart of the former reason?  Perhaps there are, but as most of us know behind the two questions above there must be thousand reasons that likely encourage the purpose.

For long enough I hesitate myself to write as to the panorama which have been annoying me since the past of couple years, if not because of an annoying incident on the plane on my way to Jakarta which made me enrage; I would better just keep away from this discussion because TKW's phenomena is eternally about the same thing and the same story. What would expatriats or us think when they see a group of very young women aged between 15's to 20's something in an airport, leaving their country for not much salary, in fact only for a housemaid job? We (Indonesians) would say it's a normal phenomena, wouldn't we?

It's a normal phenomena when a 21-year-old married  girl with two children claimed herself is proud of being TKW in Arab. "Sudah jaman Mbak perempuan kerja keluar negeri dan suami yang urus anak" she said very proudly to me with naturalness. Siti has been working as a housemaid in Arab since the past of four years. She visits her family every two year once for no less than 1 month holiday. Her two children has taken care by her unemployee husband, and she's also responsible for the financial of their marriage.

I tell you, listening of her hard story life with an anthusiastic and proudly tunes were better than listening a fairy tale story. Siti was just another story who attempts to cope her financial problems. Nyai who sat just beside Siti was much younger than Siti, aged 16, and still single. She seemed too young to me to put her lives on a risk ---- I guess therefore she became an easy target to harrassed by some arabian fella whom sat in the next seats. These fella became more attractive to her when she responded in thunk voice to their harrasments. "Ganteng ya mbak" she grinned at me as a sign of asking my tolerant to her behaviour.

Those story of the two women are normal phenomena in Indonesia. A normal phenomena to be seen and listened; in fact when a young girl is abused by her employer; most of us would angry, asking for worker's rights, the goverment begans to pay more attention to labours , and after all we just say : It's normal. Of course it's normal phenomena otherwise if it's been taken care by goverment there would be no young women leave the country.

In 2003, I did a little research in an agent in Jakarta. The agent has special people looking for young women (they prefer young women) to work abroad such as in Malaysia, Arab, Korea, Japan, etc. These special people has special tasks, they usually seek women who don't really have qualified, in fact no education at all. They offer a great promise such as bigger salary for a housemaid job or manufacture's jobs . It's well known that these people sometimes ask for money with an administration's reason i.e. the agent will make a passport for the candidate, health checking, etc. Some agents also have a place for candidates to stay until they're called or choosen by an agent in country that they want to work with --- the delay of waiting this would take 1 up to 6 months; some agents offer variety of educations such as English course, ethics on how to behave with their employer.

One question that cross on my mind when I see those young women: how could they stay with a hundred of candidates in a tiny house, doing the same activity and controlled by some arrogant people telling them what to do? Have they ever thought that's nothing more than living in a jail? Well, what else it could be; although I would say it's maron to put their lives on dangerous with no ideas at all about many things; do economic demands the only reason to make them  not to be a mother with their child, and prefer to take risks with being a worker?

And here we are, women with right abuse, out of any protection to women's lives. And it's just normal thing.

Gold Investment For A Solution Of Financial Problems

Sunday, May 23, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Concerns to the safety of the future financial is the most tidbit that discussed by society nowdays. For those who already have a family, I assure there is nothing more make us worry than how to keep their family in a good life. Such as gives education to our children up to university might be the priority of their plan; however, we all know anything that related to financial is uneasy subject to be planned and works exactly like what we setters; particularly if we choose wrong a financial service; you can, however, just loose your money easily. If we're unsure about the whole thing --- as sometimes we confuse to choose one of the whole financial services; but the good things that can help us to avoid this problem is by seeking a professional financial advisor.

I myself currently searching about an investment. Apart of  surfing on the internet I also ask my hubby who likewise he himself is a financial advisor. He informs me that the most important to be concerned to an investor before they make an investment is always read carefully the profile of the company. While I search about investments I find about a Gold Price investment. After reading about the whole information of  Gold Spot I become quite intrested in gold investment. Most of us know how gold prices can be high priced in the future --- gold prices are very rarely decreased.

Gold coins investment was already introduced in a country such as Indonesia since 1990's. Whilst that the society still unrealized the benefits of gold coins investment. However, gold investment, whether gold coins or gold bar become versality for most investors. Infact gold investments can have a great promise for the future investment besides its benefit of the prices. Such as one of the banks in Indonesia called Bank Syariah, provides gold investment likewise: the gold investment provided in a gold bar; the investment can be done by credit or with a fullpayment. However, it is recommended to buy it instead of credit if you want to invest it.

I believe gold investment isn't just known nowdays, but since away back. The great of  gold investment has proven its benefit for many of us. I know some story behind of success people in how they start their own business; even I find a success story about one of the most succeed entrepeneur begin his business from his wife sold golds. See, just a simple investment of gold can do a huge thing in ourlife sometimes.

No-Entry For Plebs

That was the first time I visited the hotel, which known as one of the best international hotels in Jakarta. I chose it as I was thinking the hotel nearby a shopping centre: what else women can  think while they on their holiday, anyway? Shopping would be on the first list of every woman's busyworks; as well as shopping in Jakarta is much cheaper than in Europe therefore I always take the advantage while holiday in Indonesia.

Without booked the hotel first, I bound to the hotel by a taxi and arrived at 10.30 p.m. I queued just behind an Indonesian woman who behaved just as a nouveau riche: Looking at me in a naff-stared, perhaps wondering why was I doing in there? (as I appeared unglamourous just as her); talking on the phone likes nobody there. The good thing was she got a look just as a model: white skins with brown hair, and appeared in a modernistic style. However, her grotesquely apparantly could not cover up how naff she was. That's enough about her.

As soon as she left the receptinonist I approached the receptionist asking for a room. He was a good looking guy, white skins (most asians are crazy for being white!), and with a perfect teeth were enough to make him become a coverboy instead of a receptionist.

"We're full tonight (without said sorry)": he responded me ephemeral and back his head down to the paperwork on the receptionist desk. If I wasn't very tired I would leave the hotel as soon as possible. But it nearly 11 p.m, I wouldn't dare to seek a hotel, especially in a crazy city like Jakarta.

"What about suit rooms?" I asked him once more. He looked at me awhile and responded indifferent: "There is, but it's expensive"

Good lord. If my appearance didn't convice him that I could effort the bill then I need to give him a lesson!  (doh!)Without asking how much the price for the suit room I agreed to take the suit room. And what happened next? His posture altered well-disposed.

Here I am, in a country where appearance (colour skins and what you wear) is crucial in a role life;  where the societies have been piteously trapped in an image to be 'bigwig' is shown by what you wear. Fair enough  of points, I assume, as no one would appraise you as bigwig if you appear in an underperform. But the interpretation of being bigwig in Indonesia at times is just too much for me. And I won't write down here all my experiences with some people whom pretentious, and nothing more but petty-minded to view their surroundings.

Maybe I was wrong by wearing only a jeans and t-shirt while in an international hotel; I should have wear a dress, put the make up on, wearing high-heels instead: just as the naff girl's appearance earlier; and maybe I was wrong, too of  being arrogant to give him an unimportant lesson by booking the suit room.

Or, perhaps, embraces a philosophy of  "It's nice to be important. But it's important to be nice" is inoperative in a country such as Indonesia. I'd better remember that next time.

"A Typical Woman...."

Friday, May 14, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

"A typical woman..." the words came out of his mouth as a checkmate signs to no more debate. I simpered at him enjoying the self-satisfied towards his lack to continue the debate. It's not the first time I heard a man say that words; well, not in Indonesia particularly. The words audible more often in Europe or other English-speaking country where according to Asian women whom fortuitiously I know, and from other dispatchs saying that asian women regard that foreign men have better understanding to women's beings (ouch!): I need do a survey to substantiation this tidings.

But honestly, I'm not fully agree to read a newspaper couches  according to Indonesian  women who living abroad stated that foreign men have better understanding to women's beings than Indonesian men. I would say: This ain't true.  Indeed petty-minded statement.

Anyway, that ain't my main topic today. I have something else to discuss about, and still related to women's issue as I'm kinda having curiosity with the implication of  'typicals women' word, the word that I often hear from foreign men:  And I repute it as bilious to women's negativity e.g. nagging, fussy, self-critical, and other perceptions towards women. Yet, I'd like to add a quote in here, an English magazine article couches that "women are unhappy in their lives".

These overwhelming sense make me to look around to my own life, and contrast them with my other girlfriends'; and I need to be honest with the finding that most women posses unresolved demands in their lives.

Wait a minute, ain't that a nature of human beings, always willing to attain their goals? I heard what you said. However, women's desire are more than just attaining their goals (you may disagree with this!) --- and I support this with a psychological reason of self-defence (see!) that desire is what makes our life go through: Ain't a general answer to response why we never satisfied in our lives?

The overwhelming sense  towards women righteously a mirror to honestly questioned  ourselves: "Am I really unhappy woman?" or "Why am I unhappy in my life?" ---  that is a billion dollar question.  We probably wouldn't dare to ensure ourselves that "I am a happy woman", or neither willing to say "I'm not happy"; when this ambivalence still unresolved a fairy tale life has been created as attest of a  happiness i.e. attempted to create a happy life,  and of course not a real happiness, but a fake one, up to the last and pinpoint its marrow.
We need a word. An honest word so-called a "happiness".

Women. The most question men ask (and perhaps us too!) about women: Why women always arduouness struggling for their appease? Reasonable or unreasonable anything about women should be something very complicated and unresolved.  Yet, we need  to see from different perspective as well as I believe that cultural impacts could effect a person to behave and think differently.

Are these enough to point that women aren't happy in their lives? You tell me.

I like Physiology,

Thursday, May 13, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Studying the nature of neurons would be the most exciting subject in Psychology; you learn the human behaviour in neuroscience point of view by studying inside the nature of human being how the neurons communicate with others neurons, such as in the postsynaptic potential, what exactly transpire to neurons and what the affects of this causes with other neurons; multiplex of neurons will probably challenge your gray matter -- if you like to studying it.

However, you may be dislike this subject -- I know It is not easy subject to study, I can say it's even hard subject from some students, particularly for those who dislike subject of biologically and chemistry. Don't worry, I hated it too at the start, and it take times to like this subject; the bad thing is if you have to face it up in some years of your study course whether you like it or not.

I myself has no background at all in biologically and chemistry, well just little of experiences in a secondary school, and that's all. Accountancy was my fancy's subject when I was in a high school. So you can see there is no related subject between accountancy and psychology.

Putting your favourite philosophy "just do your best"  while studying which you think sufficiently to get good marks would not achieve anything --- believe me, particularly if  you're doing the subject  up to your final course.

Changing dislike habitat into like is a hard job, and keep trying to focus your goal is even harder than trying to understand the subject itself (my own favourite quote).

However, I have simple tips to change this habitat, you  may like to put on your note:

-Buy one or more of required books. Depending the hand out will  give you only little knowledge and difficulty to understand the subject. I know it costs some money, but think about how much knowledge you will gain, and the most of it is your deep comprehension.

-Join the forum. If your purchase includes a kit package that provides a forum or anything related to the subject, don't hesitate to registrate to be a member; explores any information on the site that provided by the book author.

-Internet surfing. Internet surfing is one of the best idea to inquiringly; get any related information that you need, contrast them with one to another, but heads up with the information you get from the internet make you sure the article is from the trust site i.e. provides academic study research. By reading the related articles with different perspective through the internet surfing you have redone the subject.

-Writing an  essay. Not very good at  essay? don't be worried. Practise is the best learning. Write anything you like, and try to write a paragraph of the subject with your own words.

Do you believe that intellectualisms derive from innate or consanguinity? Well, I don't.  Iet me share  what Bandura's said on his social learning theory: "What you see is what you learn" ---  see nothing learn nothing.

Communication Between Neurons At Synapses

Wednesday, May 12, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

A couple of weeks ago I have posted about communication within neurons in general, but not too spesific (check it out on the label of Physiological Psychology), which most of the articles posted noneconsecutively. However, today, we talk about the communication between neurons at synapses more spesifically. This communication at synapses is the continuation of  the detail of  action potential, spesifically is about how ions can process when they reach the presynaptic membrane and postsynaptic.

As you may already know a synapses is a gap between terminal button and dendrites (see the picture above). And  you may already know that synapses consist two types of synapse: Presynaptic and Postsynaptic. The presynaptic is belong to the terminal, and postsynaptic receives information from the terminal button. However, there are other types of synapse you should know: Presynaptic membrane, Postsynaptic membrane, and Synaptic Cleft.

Membrane is a layer that encloses neurons. Membrane also contains loads of important protein in the process of  the communication between neurons.

When the action potential reaches the terminal button it brings a synaptic vesicle that contains neurotransmitter  (see the picture above). The synaptic vesicle before reaches the presynaptic membrane is  apparently docked -- the neurotransmitter, binding together in a circle. As soon as they bind together with presynaptic membrane the synaptic vesicle breaks the dock and open; fuse their contains (neurotransmitter) into the synaptic cleft, and bind together with postsynaptic membrane.

The binding of neurotransmitter with postsynaptic apparently resulting inhibitory and excitatory affects; these affects called postsynaptic potential.

Clinique For Skin Care

Tuesday, May 11, 2010 JS Hanniffy 2 Comments

Here I am again, back with women's stuff. I'm kinda fancy to talk about make up right now -- nice and easy one I guess after the stressing 'jobs' on the 23th of April up to 8th of Mei. Thank God, it's over now.

I rarely checked my email while I was trying to keep my head down --- loads of  incoming emails from my 'stuff-company', and Clinique is one of them.

Have I written about Clinique stuff before? I guess I have. Clinique product is a skin of products for women and men. I've been using this product since a couple of years ago. I would say it's a great product.  And I never changed it since then.

Clinique product is suitable for women and men around 30s over --- I guess therefore I have never had problem with my skin face during using Clinique product; well, during the a couple of days of using Clinique emerged some pimples around the oil areas, T's area (forehead, nose, and chin), but then after  a couple of days the skin gradually adapated with the lotion.

This effect sometimes occure for the first users; I think this is due to the product need to adapt with the skin first. If you first user for Clinique and you find the same phenomena as me -- you don't need to be worried about its effect. Or if you're unsure with the situation go to a Clinique consultant and ask anything you need about your skin.

The result of using Clinique usually only take a couple of days. The most product I like to use is the 3 steps. They're consist of 3 cleaning products. These 3 steps of cleaning pare off  the dead skins on your face. The 3 steps has to be used together at the same time. If you like to pair them with another Clinique product, such as you may want to use the cleanse foam with the mousturizing from the 3 steps, then you may need ask your consultant first. No fee for consultation in Clinique --- so use this advantage to ask about your skins.

Thank You | Why Is It So Hard To Say?

Monday, May 10, 2010 JS Hanniffy 7 Comments

One day a friend of mine who was Indonesian and have been living in Europe for some decades complained about her Indonesian friend's attitude: according to her she's been helping the woman during her financial difficulty, but she feels that the woman is difficult to please and the most of it is she never said thank you to her.

"Is it too hard to say thank you?" She grumbly asked me.

It's not hard. It's just a forgotton culture. It due to we do only occassionally in daily life --- even not too often. We might not know or irresponsive at all about it; however, a thank you word is not just about a respect to other person, but it's also a self-respect. In other words, if you don't know how to respect yourself, how then you know to respect with others?

So, lesson number one is, however close your friendship with someone; always put in the frontline a self-respect -- and it's simple to do: "Please" when you ask something, and "Thank you"  for what you've got, that is not a hard thing to do, is it?

Just want to say "THANK YOU" for the award tagging from "Bundanya Sasha", Mbak Reni. Thank you Mbak Reni.
