Hot chocolate
Happy Monday everyone,

What first is on your mind when you think about chocolate? A nice taste, perhaps? and then follow what the best country of making chocolate. My favourite gift to bring for my family in Indonesia is usually chocolate, and also for my friends. And I'm telling you, most of asians are mad for eating chocolate from abroad!

I didn't eat chocolate at all, not until I met my hubby (he's made me such an irish woman now!); but chocolate now has been one of my favourite 'friends', particularly when in the study time.

The nicest chocolate is best known from west Europe, people consider swiss chocolate is so tasty; and tasty chocolate mostly expensive. However, I find so many nice chocolate in Ireland as well; although some of chocolates are import from other country but Irish chocolate is also nice.

When I go home, I always visit the shops where have good chocolates. But because I have a big family so I try to buy nice chocolate with a good deal price ---- 3 packs for 13 euros :).

Speaking of chocolate, I've once read an article that chocolate has a good affect of our bad feeling. That's a very interesting discover. I had no previous experience before of being feeling better after drinking chocolate. However, without considering the article I've read, I drank a cup of hot chocolate when I was in the bad-mood of my periode, and I realised I've felt such a better feeling by drinking the hot chocolate.

Since then I perpetually take a cup of hot chocolate to help me to cope such a bad mood :).

Just like tonight, when my hubby feels so bad from at work. I offer him his drink chocolate favourite --- though it may not help his stresses from his work, but at least he has a nice evening in the living room with a cup of hot chocolate and his favourite program football game while I'm writing this ;).

First Snow In The MOnth Of November

Saturday, November 27, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Last night we couldn't really sleep as the hill stones sounded very noisy. Three alarms of three houses around our house area were on, my hubby said it happened because their alarms were too sensitive.

It was noisy alright. So I could'd back to sleep till in the morning.

It is very unsual we have snow in November. Usually, it comes in December till February. Perhaps, it because the climate change?

First thing I did when I woke up this morning was opened the blind, and finding all the park front of our house is covered by snow. I ran straight away to get my camera, and looking for a good shot from the window of my study room. Here is the shot ;).

Taken rom my study window room

I'm so happy everytime I see snow is falling down from the sky. Do you know why? Maybe because its colour? or maybe because everyone is so happy to celebrate the Christmast and it affects to my feelings?

Maybe just because  I'm a  happy person :).

The Analysis Of The Little Hans's Phobia And Anxiety

Thursday, November 25, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

As It's written on the previous posting that Little Hans had suffered his erotic longings for his mother; this was occured from since Hans aged 3 (began with his fascination with widdler). It was phallic stage coined by Frued. Freud believed in this stage the psychosexual problem in child arouse to be more complexed than two other stages i.e. Oral and Anal.

The problem became more complex as Freud theorized that the relationship between the child and the mother, the mother and the father, the child and the father, led to so-called by Oedipal complex, is the desire to posses the mother and get rid of the father. And Hans case is seem to support this theory.

Freud  Little Hans
While Hans tried to understand the whole things about widdler, yet his sister Hanna was born. He entirely refered everything  he saw and thought merely related to either widdler or storks; which apparently led Hans to frustrated which later on aroused Oedipal complex as well as phobia and anxiety.

The phobia all first began when Hans seemed to fear everytime  he saw and thought about horse. He thought that horse would bite and come to his room.

He refused to go out; when he walked out he suddenly frightened and wanted to be coaxed by his mom.

In the same time, he suffered anxiety, thought his mom left him, and for being lonely because his mom leaving.

This anxiety of Hans derived from his dream, which Freud coined Hans's dream as Anxiety dream.

Both Freud and Hans's father refered Hans phobia of horse with widdler. Hans thought about widdler quite often and related everything he saw was about widdler. His efforts to understand about widdler  was unful
filed.

Appart of Hans attempted to seduce his mother i.e. telling her to put her finger on his penis and his mom replied: "because it's not in purposed" ..... "It would be pigish"; Hanna's birth apparently was another cause for his frustation of oedipal and castration complex.

The thought of the horse would bite him can be interpreted as he was thinking a big penis on the horse (he  had mentioned on a conversation with his mom about horse). However, the horse can be interepreted as well as his dad (the moustache and the hair).

However, we must not forget about that Hans parents also one of the key roles of Hans's phobia and anxiety.

Firstly is, one occassion when Hans attempted to seduce his mother, the reaction of her might had led Hans  to think that his mom was shy to touch it (This is what might evoked Hans lead  to a phantasy for wanting girls to touch his penis) so henceforth remain unfulfiled wishes.

Secondly, his mom had warned him not to touch his penis again otherwise the doctor would cut it off. This was also led to Hans to anxiety, fear about losing his penis (he also thought that his mom's had been cut off --  Freud coined this as castration complex).

Thirdly, he's closer to his mother than his father in the family relationship as his father away often (and I consider therefore Hans wish his dad was dead); he loved so much being only with his mom, and not with his mother. Everything that his mother did to him brought special pleasures to Hans.

And at last, both parents soulless to their son curiosity, particularly his ingeniousness in explore his thoughts.

These phobia and anxiety later on led Hans to develope phantasies.

Does Grammar Really Matter In Learning English?

Wednesday, November 24, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

I wish I was born in present where most people can access to learn English easily -- just like my 10 year-old-boy who starts his learning English at age 4. Does he speak fluent now? Well, his english now much better than my English when was in high school though.

My purpose of writing this time is to give my opinion regarding to an article that The most important ingredient of learning English is Grammar. Playing games, discussing problems, and having a good time is important. However, if we don't focus on grammar it is all a waste of time.

English for Playgroup
Learning English is not easy. That is true. I've been living in a country for many years where English is their native languange, and speak English quite often in many countries. Yet, I still find how difficult it is to speak and write fluently just like a native speaker. Another thing is, when I ask something about English vocabulary to a native speaker, to my hubby who english is his main languange, for example, he himself doesn't know the meaning of it. Well, that's a quite strange.

In fact, it's not just me experienced like that but some of my friends has also similiar experience with other native speakers whom seem not understand some their own vocabulary. I then wonder if I myself might  not understand as well some my own vocabulary languange.

If this is the case so none of native speakers know their all own vocabularies? Perhaps some people that say no foreigners can learn English fluently. Well, they are probably right.

I shall give my opinion to against the latter sentence of the article above, is if we don't focus on grammar it is all a waste of time.

In 2007, I found a method which saying that grammar is not the uppermost to be fluent in English. It was AJ's method, the founder of Effortless English Club. I notice that his method is the opposite of the latter on the article above.

AJ's method is not focus in grammar rules, he affords a unsual of teaching English, is by listening. Even better, this method of his is supported by some English teachers in some country (I can't think of the name of the teacher; he's also quite famoust with his method).

However, it is seem like to be biased for teaching English without focusing grammar. We may question it: How we then know that our english is correct?

I was thinking, just now, if I teach bahasa to a foreigner with grammar rules then how it would be going?  Would they not be struggling to remember all the rules?

That's it. I have been learning English since elementary, and yet, most of my English teachers merely give a boring home work which asking me to do all the grammar rules i.e. present tense, past tense, participle tense. And yet, none of native speakers understand about all these grammar rules! Naively, we're perpetualy doing the same method, is memorising grammar rules!

I see English teacher has better teaching in the present than before; I notice this when I help my little boy with his english home work; the book of English from the school has better structure in its method teaching, such as, they give a short story instead of  grammar rules.

It is very frustrating if we longily to speak and write English fluently and there is a barrier (strugling with the grammar rules. Can you imagine when you try to speak with a native speaker you need to have a look at your grammar rules note?

So I consider that it is not a waste time even we don't focus in grammar. Grammar it's not the uppermost thing to speak English fluently. I should say that I agree with AJ's philosophy of learning English that it's all about passion and how you explore your surroundings into English.

What do you think?

Lacan's Version Of The Little Hans Case

Tuesday, November 23, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Jacques Lacan
Lacan's version (1938) developed from Freud's theory. I have previously posted a slight bit of Little Hans Case. The Little Hans had finally solved his phobia and anxiety problem by two his phantasies helps. These phatantasies believed by Freud as a path to help his erotic longing for his mother.

Lacan developed Freud's theory that the little Hans's tension is resolved on the one hand, by repression of sexual tendencies which will henceforth remain latent until purbety, and the other hand, by the sublimation of parental image which will perpetuate a represantive ideal.

The agency that repress is called the super-ego (prohibiton), and the agency that sublimates is called the ego-ideal (promise).

It is the same as Freud's theory regarding the Psychosexual development in child, that Lacan theorized that the genetial drives in child reach their high point at age 4. As at this age the drives are they are bound to be frustrated.

However, the child links the frustration to a third object namely present and of interest (parents), and regards him as the obstacle (the dad), which leads to Oedipal complex. Lacan theorized this as Family Complexes.

Weight | Is It Matter To You?

Tuesday, November 23, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

I just wonder if there any woman who uncaring of their weight at all as I do care very much about my weight. It might be too flirty for some people to care much about our weight. If this is an opinion of most people, then I am a flirty woman. The truth is, my body is kinda  inflexible when I feel the heavy through activity, even if just walking.

Since I cameback from my holiday (I had a very big appetite during the holiday), my weight is raising suprisingly, its up to 58 kg! That's it. I have never ever had this weight before in my life. I had combined the appetite with exercise such as swimming (maybe the food I ate was not balanced with the exercise!).

I then decided to do something before I'm going to 60 kg!

I'm back again to Jackie's Kelly, which now has changed its company name to Energy. The previous gym did not really help me to encourage my spirit to go the gym as well as it's just a small club of gym, and nothing really there.

At Energy club, I can at least get swimming if I get bored with the gym, and if I get bored with both, I can go for a aerobic class.

Since I start to exercise again and look after my foods, my weight reduce 3 kg. Yummy! I have a goal to make my weight is back to 49 kg. Let's do it!

Watch Out Of The Scam, Bloggers!

Monday, November 22, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

This was happened last year when I joined BuyBlogReviews for a review job. I had been posting quite reviews on my blog for Blog Advertising Store, in total amounts over $100.

However, the payment due for 3 months. So I sent them email to ask my money. After more than three times sent emails, they replied it with an unhappy news, telling me that I had contravened their terms and policy. I replied and asked them what kinds of breaches I had made -- they kept replied the same email, which I assumed it was automatic reply email.

Instead, they had suspended my account!

As there was no progress in my attempts to get my money, then I just decided to forget  about it, and think it was just my unlucky day.

If they meant that I had contravened the policy and the terms, they should give a clear explanation and not suspended my account (I've sent them an email asked them to reactive the account, but they did not respond and neither reactive it).

So what can you call to  kind of these things? First, they did not pay my money; secondly, they suspended my account; thirdly, they did not reactive my account although I already asked them to reactive it.

All I can say is: be very careful when you sign up for review. Not all of them are bads, but just assure about the payment policy, people can just build a site to get lots of bugs while we do all the works i.e. writing the review; your works might ended for nothing.

Got bad experience doesn't mean it stops me from writing a review (that' won't happen!). There still some honest and real sites that offers review jobs, such as Blogverstise and BuyBlogReviews. I got some pretty good of bugs from these two companies. See ;).

Little Things About Dublin (Part 1)

Saturday, November 20, 2010 JS Hanniffy 2 Comments

Ireland is very amazing country. I've heard some people said that life in Ireland is just like a poetry as it's all about drinking, dancing, joking, and singing. What a life! But there is a problem: it's the weather!

You will find most places look so amazing when in summer, I love visiting Cork during summer season, it's my very favourite spot. But not when winter, most everyone avoid to go out when winter.

However, we live in Dublin. I don't really like city. perhaps this is because I was born and grew up in busy city like Jakarta, but my hubby prefer to live in city.

Dublin is not a big city. It has about 1 million population, and most of the buildings are old buildings. I like to take some photograph of those buildings. Here are some unprofessional of my photographs around Dublin city. I hope you like it.

                                          Dublin Spire

Spire is monument of light located in the heart centre of Dublin, accurately, is on O'connol street. When I asked to my Indonesian friend about the meaning of building that spire, she answered like this: "It's for a sign when people lost in the city centre". She's probably right.

                                   Klerrys Shopping Centre

Klerrys shopping is just located nea r the spire. Look at the building, you will like even more if you come in to the building. Sometimes, I just like to go to this building for looking around, but not for shopping ;).

                                      Dublin 'Becak'

Honestly, I have never ridden it, but I love to someday. It's sponsored by Seven Up. Some people said it's for free, some people said you have to sign up first to ride it. I might need exact information before I ride it.

Smash Cut By Sandra Brown

Friday, November 19, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

I have finally finished reading this book, after 2 weeks try to spare my time: on the train, while walking, while waiting bus, anywhere I got the time I use to read this book! I will review another Sandra Brown's books, but today, is a special day for the Smash Cut review!

'Do you know what a smash cut is?'

'It's an abrupt edit. A sudden shift of scene. Used to shock audience. Very effective Lost of impact. It'll be like that. No one will see it coming. Especially her.'

Paul Wheeler is a one of American millionare who is shot during armed robbery in a hotel, Julie Rutledge who  is with Paul Wheeler during the roberry convinced that Paul'snephew, Creighton, is responsible for the murder.

Creighton has a passion for movies and Julie believes that Paul's murder has all the elements of a blockbuster: familly rivalries, incalculable wealth, and a prominent man dying in arms of his beautiful mistress.

However, Derek Mitchell, the attorney of Wheeler's family, and police department are unconvincing with Julie's theory of  this conspiration murder. While Julie has to fight all on her own against them, she recevies several terrors that almost cost her life to death.

***

That's all I can review, otherwise, you know all the story :). For thriller lover and detective story, you must read this book!

Will be back with another Sandra Brown ;).

Home Ceiling Fan

Thursday, November 18, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

A ceiling fan is a fancy lamp with unique decorations on its shape. I infer that its style looks very European; it reminds me of a Victorian era. Ceiling fans normally are put in the living room, but it can also be put in the dining room as well.

Depending on the place you wish to put; some people prefer to match the style, the size, and the colours of the ceiling fans; it might be not neccessary for you, but maybe it nice to see by your guest.

Where to find ceiling fans?

Any hardware shops near your area. Alternatively, you can buy it by online.  Shopping online might not the best the thing to do as you can’t see the product clearly: sometimes it’s different from what you expect it i.e. different colour or size.

However, it has also advantage of shopping online, such as consuming time. Some sites that do shopping online offer a refund agreement or a guarantee to their customer, in case they don’t satisfy with the product.

Here is a link that quite known as a good shopping online for ceiling fans, you might like to look at Hanson wholesale ceilings. It offers you variety types of ceiling fans. You can also find out who makes the best ceiling fans here!

Online shop such as Hanson offer you variety of home ceiling  fan and ceiling accessories. There are many choices for different types of ceiling types that you can get in Hanson.  Anything about ceiling fan information is provided on this site -- just have a look the Hanson's site!

Be YourSelf | On The Internet World View Of Research

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 JS Hanniffy 1 Comments

How will you react if someone try to copy yours? It's annoying you, isn't it? In fact, many people like to do that. On my previous posting, I have alluded the definition of be yourself from psychology insight in general . However, today, I'd like to go deeper the insight of Be YourSelf as I just thought how hardly it is to become ourselves.

I'm sure that most of you would understand the term of be yourself from your natural surroundings of knowledge. It is a simple term that most of us can understand it easily. However, there is a question that I like to discuss with you, can we become ourselves? and how?

"A blogger has no idea what she wants to write about on her blog. As she wants to impress her lover that she can become a smart woman like others, she then attempts to stalk the style of other blog, which is contain empirical articles. Her blog used to be about 'her true-knowledge' articles; as she is not educated enough -- let's say she got leaving certificate (high school graduated), however, she changes into information about anything that source from books or whatever. In fact, her writing style was alright before (shown her 'true knowledge' about herself)."

The example above is a picture of how difficult sometimes to become ourselves. Becoming ourselves is challenging for most of us as it insists the whole true of ourselves i.e. negatives and positives.

The woman on the example above knew that her limited knowledge would not be enough to stun her performance to be like a brainny woman. However, it'll be so obvious to know by other bloggers that it's not her knowledge or her style used to be. Her absorption apparently leads her to be an idel-woman as she likes to be or her lover thought to be.

According to this, I infer that our surroundings or the social world and our self-perception can be the main reason to evoke becoming self-ideal instead of ourselves.

So would that mean the social world is dangerous for our mental-health? That would be a tough work to find out.

Hello, Feed Burner?!

Monday, November 15, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

See the image beside of this article? I just wonder if anyone has the same problem as mine with the feedburner.

I've been observing my feedburner for weeks as I think the feedburner has worked weirdly. The counting readers has been changing dramatically e.g. from 189 to 118. However, the graphic stats shows its balance.

Yesterday, feedburner showed 189, but today it descents very dramatically. Even sometimes descent dramatically in the same day.

I remember a blogger wrote on his blog that he has the same problem as mine but with different tracks. I'm afraid if all the track services are not accurate to give their report about our blog visitors, then we can't trust at all the stats of our blog.

The Case Of Putera Gorontalo (PG); In Psycho-analysis View of points

Sunday, November 14, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Be yourself is generally defined as your true identity or personality when you interact with the social world. Becoming yourself  is you first need to know who you are (self-concept), and your knowledge about youself and your surroundings (self-knowledge). The question is, how accurate do we know about ourself? As our surroundings sometimes naturally and automatically influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. According to this, how could we then accurately know that we are appear as who we know about ourself?

Indeed, it's a very complex analysis of human's problems. However, we are the most lucky of God's creatures to be born with an incredible brain as a tool to solve the world's problems. So we know how to answer for every problem then?

My article this time is inspired by someone named PG ( his unreal name). PG was before a member of a milist where Gorontaloness gather to share their thoughts, and their intellectual opinions. And he is a very special person to me. For many weeks, I've been following his conversation with other members, which resulting pro and contra from others. He was usually in an ambivalent mood i.e. responding member's article in a good critical thinking.

However, it was very unsual of him when he responded my article in an impolite and a brutal expression. I was then deciding to send him a personal email. Actually, I am rather interested in reading his personality than his 'true' identity (though I curious to know about his real identity). As well as it's uneasy job to do i.e. the observation is done by online. However, I try my best to analyse him by following psychology and psychoanalysis methods.

Aims: The aims of the study is to finding about Schizophrenia or multiple personality of PG. PG uses his unreal name to beat anyone whom he thought against his intellectuals and his life experiences.

Procedure (Methods): I and PG have only one conversation through email. After my last reply to his email (he hasn't replied my email yet). I, therefore, will use my analysis from his first personal long email to me. It might not give a validation to the result (that he has suffered Schizophrenia or Multiple personality). However, his purpose by using his unreal name it's so obvious to indicate that he can become "the real of him" i.e to show his thoughts and feelings about many things, particularly his beloved home, is Gorontalo -- while his real identity dumps him to suffer in silent.

Note: The term of the study only began weeks ago. I try to encourage PG to reply my email so I can know much about his thoughts and feelings. Regardless of he's telling the truth or not, every words of him is very important to me for the study. This studying might continue, however, it might not as I have other activity that need my attention and has to be done as well.

Results (findings): PG has introduced himself as a man who is much older than me, and even much older than any members in milist (remember, this is what he likes to be introduced). Presumably, he is like a dad for all of us in GM2020 milist.

PG has his own belief of his critical thinking, like very much to appear indifferent thoughts of others. He didn't challenge other's intellectual really; instead, he challenged his own ego by challenging others' ego perceptions. He was enjoying his high self-esteem behind his unreal name which he couldn't get from his real name. All words he used were straight forward and hard. He distrust goverment, neither trust that good manner would lead to a better life. He was a hard man as he was thinking. He has concepted himself more in a private self-aware than public self-aware, and he has both types. Therefore, he can become soft and sweet man as well as hard as hell.

Beside, it was unconscious sexual urges of PG's behaviour (His comment to my article critizing the size of the article alphabets the same as penis, which is I indicate his thoughts related to  his sexual life); It was also a thwarted self-assertion that causes neurotic disorders in PG's personality.

According to Alfred Adler, whom best known with Individual Psychology of theory, this neurotic disorders derived from basic urge of human being, is to strive for superiority (PG was fess graduated from Tel Aviv University in Yerussalem for his post doctoral), to succeed and be the best one can (the sacrifice of PG previous generations  i.e. his father and grandfather, to Gorontalo from Deucth collonial)  . However, barriers frequently prevent this e.g. older siblings; sibling rivalry; peer behaviour in childhood; and in adulthood - difficulties with partner, etc.

This disspointment with failure leads to a feeling of inferiority (PG's low self-esteem in using his real name). Over-compensation is employed in attempt to manage this. For most the compesantory behaviour is moderate therefore socially acceptable. If the compesantory behaviour does not lead to some success, anxiety neurosis follows. Or, if the compensatory is chanelled into some inappropriate or anti social behaviour then neurosis follows e.g. one's execessive actions involve obsessing over someone (PG's unreal name is to solve of all his desires about Gorontalo and other things); possessive behaviour (copying all the members' emails in aims to stalk them); or addictive behaviour ( PG's name has givem a pleasure to hurt anyone feelings).

PG might dishonest about himself; However, every word of him leads me to a light of natural observation behaviour through online. I am, therefore, thanking PG for his incredible  dual-personality disorder.

Yamamori Restaurant Dublin

Saturday, November 13, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Tonight, we have our first dinner in restaurant since comeback from Indonesia. It's in Yamamori, my favourite Japanase restaurant.

The main course very variete, but I have my very, very favourite foods in this gorgeous restaurant. So tonight I'm going to write about my favourite Japanase food :).

It's always Tatsuta tofu, Sake, and Banofi pie, everytime I come to this restaurant, and it's been almost seven years I've been doing that.

What is so special with this order? Let me tell you why I like them.

Tatsuta tofu: It's tofu mix with vegetables (Bean sprouts, long green nut, cabbage, and carrot) with ginger catchup on top. This food given with boil rice as well.

Sake: Sake is a traditional drink from Japan. I like to drink it when it's hot. Now, they have many types of Sake. To be honest, I don't see the different from their tastes :).

Banoffee pie: This is my favourite dessert :). Banoffee pie is made and mixed with biscuit with banana on top. They also put cream on top of it. I prefer with cream on top :). It's so yummy!

There are two restaurants of Yamamori in Dublin. One is located in Dublin 1, which is very close to O'connolly street, and the other is in George street.

If you are fancy of asian foods, you might want to try the taste of Japanese foods. You might find your favourite foods in here, who knows :).

The Lie Of The Life

Thursday, November 11, 2010 JS Hanniffy 0 Comments

Have you ever thought how exactly the whole world is created?  Very often we hear how the world create from the scientific and religion analysis, but how can we know that their analysis is valid? The scientific might proof it with its very technological methods; as well as the religion has proven it with its scriptures and any its story. However, all those tokens are made by human beings whereas often make mistakes, and yet naturally full with ego in their cells brain.

Regardless of what scientific and religion have analysed, I'd like to share my thought, purely my thought, and this thought came in my mind when I hardly to sleep, awake at 3 a.m. and not sleep till I decided to put this thought into my blog, as I'm thinking of "Why do I have to study, go to college everyday, what do I get from this? What will I become? Do I change the world, etc?"

Last night, I told my class mate that I got bored with the study, which was he replied he felt the same thing as I was. I was much younger than him, in his age 45, smart, single, good looking, and yet good in financial. My question is: why he still to go to college? Why not get married? bla, bla, bla.

That is about a life choice, isn't it? Actually, he told because he hasn't got a right woman. What?! More than millions women in Ireland and no right woman he can find? That is a ridicilous reason. Either true or false he has a self-perception about how to choose a woman for his life.

Self perception. That's it. It's how the world is developing. By self perception we can create a positive or negative thinking about the world. When this think piece share to the world, the world reacts differently, the pro contra takes its position, and that is it how we can become into different groups.

When I'm thinking about my study, that I've been thaught by failures people (while in my country believe that a teacher is "pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa"), however, I have another thought, we are unconsciously being thaught by failure people, people with no creativiness at all in their life and whom decided to spend their time by teaching whereas they themselves are willing to learn from their student.

According to this, I remember with an article on a newspaper saying about how damage education could be for our brain. They wrote about that teacher often threat their students like monkeys. I'm not sure by this statement until I know how I feel tonight that "I've been threaten like a monkey".

Education is all about money, good and bad grades, and finally certificate. I'll be so grateful if someday I become a doctor, the question is, what will I get the above average of advantages with my title? You might answer: What the hell you ask for. Certainly, maroon!

Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I will become nothing except sitting behind the desk with limited time and no creativeness. Or even worst, I might write on a book my self perception regarding about a knowledge which might be reacted to believe it, and its beliefs spread to the world, for those whom not accept would might take it as empirical data and then analyse it. With my title as a doctor , the world from many socials and fields would certainly react it in regards.

So if all derive from self perception so there are not truths at all in the world? We're not sure.

For sure, human being has two types, the complex and the heuristic one. Regardless of what types we are, both types have advantages and disadvantages. Accordingly, none of human beings have certain knowledge about anything.

How about the genius ones? There must be genius people in this world, such as Einstein, for example.

I remember with Plato's theory with his divided line where men bonder in chain in a cave towards the light watching shadows. One man decided to go out to find out what happened outside the cave. He told the other men in the cave what he found (that the shadow came from outside the sun), however, they didn't believe him.

The man was interpreted as the genius one who willing to know what was going outside the cave.

You know what I'm thinking? We are likely like the other men in the cave. And the genius one enjoy their own homework until they find  their own method and its validity, and then tell the world. They are  teacher of their own school, and student of themselves. However, we find very view the genius one to help the world better.

The self

Every human being has a natural willingness to know about themselves.  It is a desideratum for all of us for being able to describe who we are to ourselves and the social world. From the very we are infants our parents try to acquaintance by identifying themselves as the family. In other words, we learn about the self since we are infants.

Indeed, the self or the identity is significant for us to interact with the world, even in the online world; regardless real or not its identity: the social world always requires identity of us.

As it’s required, we then naturally attempt to develop the self through our social life. According to Myers (2007) this development of the self involves the self concept, self esteem, self knowledge, and the social self.

The self concept is describing “Who am I”; the self-esteem is the sense of self-worth; self-knowledge (or self-awareness) is the prediction about self; and last is the social self is the roles.

The self concept has components as follows:

Interpersonal attributes  => I’m a student
Ascribe characteristic    =>  I’m Indonesian
Interests                        =>  I like photography
Internalize                     =>  I’m a liberal
Self awareness              =>  I’m a generous person
Social Differentiation     =>  I’m a citer

These components have functions in the social world interaction, they are functioned as an interpersonal tool (see the example above); to regulate our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours; and as values to make choices.
However, the self is not just formed by our own perception in indentifying ourselves but also by the environment. In other words, the self is developed by other people perception.

This was confirmed by Cooley (1902) and Mean (1934) in their researches about the self in the social comparison study. The research is called Looking Glass Self. Cooley and Mead inferred that to know about ourselves is by seeing the reflection of how other see you.

If so, a part of our own perception to see ourselves, the environment’s perception is another key in the self development?
