I was first contacted in 2012 by my high school mate, Yanti, about the reunion. I was still in Ireland that time. I prayed that I could come to the reunion in April 2013, and I was very glad when moving to Singapore in June 2012. Even happier when my dream came true.

Lately, I've lost idea to write on my blog. As a blogger I feel guilty to  re-posting previous posting, it's not like me. My unlucky situation is an excuse. However, to boost my brain I need some 'changes'. I'm currently waiting CebongIpiet to finish my template design. Hopefully, the new look of the template helps me to find an idea for writing.

Apart from travel book is one of my interests that will never lost in my life. I enjoy reading a different type of books, thriller fiction is the most. I feel like it triggers my neurons when reading this type book. My favorite thriller writer is Sandra Brown. She's a genius thriller writer and I never get bored reading her books.

 It's good to learn a history of our own country specially when it comes about a hero. One of Indonesian women favorite hero is Kartini, she is the best example for Indonesian women today. 

Her day is celebrated every year on the 21st of April, and today we're not just remembering her as a person but also her agony to women's rights.

Luckily, we don't really have to face the same problem that Kartini's era had (well, a little bit). The era technology today has led many women from different age and background to spread their voice easily to be heard by people in the world.

Assalamualaikum Sri,
I am Azizah from malaysia. I am interested to know more about your son's school - Gontor.
I have look at the school website and it looks interesting. My son is going to sit for upsr this year. So I start surveying and getting information for his secondary school. I am looking for a boarding school with combination of academic and islamic subjects.
I have several question for Gontor:
When is the school holiday? and what is the school term/semester ie. like in Malaysia, the intake is from early January.

Since you are staying in Singapore, do you visit him frequently?
I tried to email the school, but the email address is not working.

Speaking about attitude it will remind us of LaPier study in 1934, how LaPier with his chinese couple friends found people's behaviour reacted differently from their attitudes. LaPier's and his friends were expecting no difficulty to find accomodation during their travel  and expecting undifferentiate-welcome of Americans attitudes and behaviours towards his chinesse couple friends. 

They were finding fine for the accomodations and in restaurants services. However, months later they  sent them a letter which was survey questions about whether they would accept or serve a chinese person or not. Surprisingly , LaPiere found 90 % of their answers said NO,  just view answering YES, and the rest was depend on the situation.

Here is another good way to learn English: writing. Writing that not just to practise English but also to therapy ourselves from stressful life.

How does it work?
If you ask why a blogger likes posting their important daily life in their blog then here is their answer: "Because I feel good about it". I have a list of bloggers who write about their daily life. It's just ordinary writing but it is a very important writing to you so who cares about anyone else?

Write anything you feel about. When you feel awesome about yourself you gain your confidence and no one can bring you down.

So far as I remember the last time I went to zoo was about 15 years ago. Have not even been to Dublin zoo during my a few years life time in Ireland but for some particularly reasons I and my hubby decided to visit the zoo in Singapore.

The location of the zoo was quite far from where we leave and we must took the MRT first then continued taking the bus. We took the bus from Bishan and from there to the zoo took approximately half hour. I don't really like taking the bus but luckily the transportation in Singapore is convenient!

Apart of its cleanness, I  love Singapore because its culinary. I love foods and cooking so Singapore is definitely for me! And yes, you can find a variety of delicious and healthy (of course) Asian foods here in Singapore. Depending on what restaurant you like to go but generally the food court is the place where normally people go for eating. Beside the food court is quit cheap it also gives you many choices of asian foods.

Sentosa Singapore: The Hidden Paradise

We live about an hour away from Sentosa. The place is one of I and my hubby favorite places to spend the  weekend. The location is similar to Dufan Ancol Jakarta - surrounded by the sea but I must be honest that Sentosa is much cleaner than Ancol!

Sentosa is also close to port called Harbourfront, the interface port for Singapore to Batam island, one of the  Indonesia's island. Walking distance from Harbourtfront to Sentosa is around 500 to 600  meters and having a ticket entrance is a must if you want to go to Sentosa. The ticket is about SGD $5.

I got few emails recently from bloggers asking how to make money with a personal blog. My blog itself  has only three years experience with making income - not so long ago but might be worthwhile to share my experience if you currently look for information about making money from blogging.


Before, I didn't intend to make a blog for getting income but rather than just writing my personal opinion about things. But then after awhile (nearly a year) the information of getting income from blogging spread on the internet. From there, I started to associate my blog from personal to business blog.

So what is the topic today? Today is about how to write English smooth and easy to understand. My essay is inspired by one of members VIP Effortless English named Mark, and also other members. Don’t think that I write this I am already expert or fluent in English; absolutely not. If my writing sounds like that I am better than you, then I have to tell you that I am not; I am just the same as you; a beginner. Defensive is attitude that usually given by someone to cope him/herself for at least their security. The attitude has been studied in psychoanalysis for many decades, or well-know in terms Psychoanalysis as defense mechanism. It was first coined by Freud and then developed by his daughter, Anna, that defense appears to cope anxious that caused by the ego.

Psychoanalysis itself defines defense mechanism is a phenomenon activity which often occurs without consciousness. In some circumstances  being defensive is sometimes hard to avoid, but it’s normal. However, although it’s believed to be normal, excessive defensive can lead to such as ‘abnormal’ attitude.
